You can take a hike from various part in Como, one of the popular places to hike is up to the Faro Voltiano's lighthouse which is located up in San Maurizio Brunate around 29 meters high. If you like walking on a flat surface another option is to start from Colonno and hike up and down the hills through gorgeous villages such as, Sala, Comacina, Ossucio, Lenno and Mezzegra and end up to Griante. You will be rewarded with the spectacular views over the lake and experience the area from a different perspective.
