Villa Diori is a semi-detached independent villa with private swimming pool that can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people. Villa is located in the green heart of Tuscany close to Pistoia, a town that still remains loyal to its authenticity and originality. The Villa dates back to the middle of 1600. In the front side there is a beautiful garden, shaded by tall trees. The old fountain, surrounded by stone benches, recalls the glories of the past.
The villa is set on two floors. The main entrance opens on the main living room. Next to the living room there is the study where guests can easily find a place ideal for working, a room dedicated to the card games, another living room with working fireplace, and a dining table with access to the outdoors. The large kitchen has as well a large fireplace and a wood oven ideal for pizza parties. From the kitchen there is the access to the laundry room. Climbing a stone staircase of 17 steps, guest will find the sleeping area composed of a total of 6 bedrooms. The living room of the first-floor step us back again in the past, as during the World War II it became the temporary headquarters of the “Bank of Pistoia”.
To delimit the garden of Villa Diori there is a gate, the original main entrance to the Villa, where there is a particular bell, which seems to have been identified as the oldest of Pistoia. Past the gate you come to the playground, decorated for our younger guests, and the swimming pool, the point of the greatest interest in the summer. There is also a shaded gazebo with tables and chairs. The villa distances about 50 km from the historical centre of Lucca and from Florence, and only 60 km from Pisa, which makes it a perfect spot for daily visits and tours. Villa is easy to reach due to the close exit A11 of the Motorway.
