Villa Controni

Villa Controni was once built as a summer residence of the important Controni family and for centuries the house has hosted many famous people. This magnificent villa is set in a beautiful farm at the foot of the hills of Vorno and Mount Pisano. The villa is part of the Coselli Collection, which includes also five other villas. The villa is large, with 11 bedrooms it accommodates a total of 22 guests, and is well suited for parties or business use. Villa Controni has three floors and a total of 11 frescoed bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. Six bedrooms are located on the first floor and five bedrooms on the second floor. Each bedroom has either a double bed or twin beds. In addition, four extra beds are available in the villa at an additional cost. The ground floor of the villa has an impressive dining room, a living room, a utility room, a traditional Tuscan fully equipped kitchen and a billiard room. The restored interiors of this luxury villa reveal an old-world feel with gleaming chandeliers, paneling that lines the living and dining rooms. The outdoor area has a large private pool with sun loungers, a beautiful garden and an outdoor dining area for 24 guests. In front of the pool area there is a gym room with plenty of good fitness equipment for guests to use. The villa is surrounded by centuries-old trees, olive groves and hills. The hills have breathtaking views of the countryside and the surrounding area. In the past, for several years, the farm was dedicated to the cultivation of rare flowers and the production of extra-virgin olive oil. Today, however, the villa is a great place to relax in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The villa is just 6 km from the historic town of Lucca and only 1.5 km from the nearest village of Vorno. Villa Controni shares tennis courts with three other villas and those are free for guests to use with tennis rackets. A personal chef and maid service are included in the price of the villa.
