Built in the 19th century, Villa Porcaresi has recently been restored by the owners into an elegant holiday home with preserved historic features. This 900 sqm villa can accommodate up to 20 people with its 8 bedrooms and extra beds, and is therefore a great choice for larger travel companies. The friendly owners, who produce their very own goat cheese, live together with their dogs and goats in the house next door and have many years of experience with guests. The ground floor has a large living room with a pool table and sofas, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry room, a large bathroom, two showers and a sauna with light therapy for three people. A staircase, and/or elevator, leads up to the second floor, which consists of a modern kitchen, a small dining area, a large living room and a bathroom. This floor also has a bedroom with a private bathroom and shower, and a bedroom with a private bathroom containing both shower and Jacuzzi. The third floor is divided into two wings with two bedrooms on the right and four bedrooms on the left. All bedrooms have access to private bathrooms. The house is immersed in 8 hectares of land, and the fenced garden is characterized by its aged trees, beautiful flowers and terraces. Outside the kitchen on the ground floor is a bright dining area, equipped with a table and chairs, where it is possible to grill. The pool next to the villa is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas and lounge furniture. Seven bikes are available for the guests, and the nearest shop and restaurant can be found in the village of San Macario, 1.5 kilometers away.

"Whauw, that was the first reaction of our children. As soon as we arrived, the kids "tested" directly the pool. Also the arrival was really nice. The owner gave us several ingredients of the land (goat cheese / elderberry liqueur). The villa was really spacious and very nice equipped. We used several evenings with playing at the pool billiard. We also really loved Lucca. A very authentic village with some amazing restaurants. We also have walked a long way over the old city walls of Lucca. Also Elisa was super kind and helpful. She has given several tips on sightseeing and wine tasting. In one word a fantastic holiday. Top! "

"The villa was rented for the first time. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The equipment was very nice, but for renting also vulnerable. (white pillows - chairs in the living room). All comfort available in the inside as well in the outside. We loved the big pool. Nice location and easy access to the sea, Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Maybe we will come back next year."

"I spent an awful lot of time trying to find the right villa. I eventually settled on Villa Porcaresi for several reasons, namely the amount it accommodated and the location to Lucca. The villa was stunning and huge. The photo\\\'s really do not do it justice at all. The restoration has been done to a high standard. We were a party of 18 adults, 2 children and a dog and not once did we feel we were squeezed in and on top of each other. We all had our own space. The bedrooms were mostly enormous and the bathrooms all finished to a very high standard and again, very large. Many rooms had fridges in as well. I would only add that the double rooms were the smallest. The kitchen was kitted out for \\\'catering\\\'. There was enough crockery and cooking utensils to cook and feed 40 at least. There was nothing to want for at all. The dumb waiter was totally invaluable and the lift a great bonus for lugging the luggage to your rooms. The pool area was great, although for small children the depth could be an issue. The villa was totally secluded and secure so children and dog were safe to wander as they pleased. The location was also great - 15 minutes by car to the beautiful City of Lucca. The owners are close by but did not intrude at all. The cleaner came in 2 hours per day to do all the bedrooms and bathrooms. In 2 hours she done all of that. She really was great. If I could add anything negative it would only be that the double bedrooms are the smallest, but still of a decent size and maybe the triple bedroom rooms could be better used with twin beds and not doubles. I was also recommended Francesco - to cater for my party of 20 one night. He was fantastic, a lovely guy and his food was amazing. He goes the extra mile and I would thoroughly recommend him for catering for parties etc. My only other issue was the lack of reviews - there are only a few online and totally uninformative. When you are spending a lot of money as well as having the responsibility of booking for many people, reviews are paramount. I hope therefore, that this goes someway to give a good in depth view of Villa Porcaresi. Would definitely return."
