A beautifully renovated 19th Century Farmhouse, Villa Oliveto is surrounded by olives groves creating the perfect place to enjoy the tranquillity of the Sicilian countryside yet enjoying a breath taking view of the Mediterranean Sea. The farm is situated in Piana di Licata, at the foot of mount Petrulla, where almost 20 acres of the estate are dedicated to olive cultivation. The property is within a short drive to the beach, giving guests the perfect balance of a rural retreat, yet with the tempting waters within easy reach. Meandering shaded terraces and pathways through the property grounds lead to an extensive terrace where the magnificent infinity pool will treat guests to a panoramic sea view. Villa Oliveto has been sympathetically restored, where crisp modern line meet accents of the original building though exposed beams and stone work. The historic building is comprised of a main building and two smaller apartments, which can be booked separately or in unison – allowing larger groups to enjoy each other’s company, yet giving flexibility and privacy. The main apartment is in a traditional style with a comfortable living room with Satellite TV and separate fully equipped kitchen; the living room opens to generous external dining area and lounge, just the perfect place to sit and relax whilst reading a book with a nice glass of wine. Three generous size bedrooms can accommodate up to 7 people (with the use of an additional bed), each with en suite shower rooms. The first apartment offers an open plan kitchen/living room that opens to an al fresco dining area. The apartment has two interconnecting bedrooms, one double and one single, which share a shower room. In addition, the owner has recently renovated a third bedroom in La Suite and installed a double bed. The second apartment has recently been created just next to the central accommodation. The apartment consists of one large room ensuite for a couple. The Estate is well known for producing exceptional Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is distributed in Italy and across Europe. Guests staying during in September and early October are welcome to join the olive harvest, following the fascinating process from tree to bottle. The owner lives on the same property, in the house next to the villa. The owner is very welcoming and she will be delighted to assist you if you need any help.
